Some facts about this blog:

Many of the names in this blog have been changed to protect the players from public embarrassment. Sometimes only pets’ names are used, and even then, some of those are pseudonyms.
Images that show names of both people and pets have been altered, such as the status feed of Angela’s Muffintop, or the gift of poo from Genevieve. There is no pet named Muffintop owned by a girl named Angela. If there is, it’s pure coincidence.
In late 2009, Pet Society Anonymous became a partner of AOL’s games.com.

Contributing Writer:

From July-September 2009, the site posted five stories by contributing writer Kavya (pronounced caviar with a British accent). Kavya is a brilliant young lady originally from India. She is so young that she isn’t even in high school, yet she has the whole blogging thing figured out! Does that make you feel lame or what? She is the owner of another PS blog, Pet Society Addict.

i hv a question here.. when i first created my pet, there was a message asking something like: do you want to keep playing even when you’re offline or something like that. it said u can change it later if u change your mind. so i said yes. but somehow i can’t find a way to change it. i got quite busy lately and when i finally get online, my pet is totally full of flies and very hungry. poor him..

I wonder if you are aware that PS is currently not functioning for a long time. Being a saddo, I am sat in front of computer on Valentine day and refresing my browser every second hoping PS to come back any second.

I am addicted to your site too and now that I am deprived of Pet Society, I beg you to write more article so that at least I feel that life is not so bad after all.

Please help! I’m sure I’m not the only one who think this way.

Hi Pinky,

Yes, I know P.S. hasn’t been working. But it hasn’t been “a long time.” It’s just been a day. Please take this as an opportunity to step away from the computer and do something else. I repeat: Step away from the computer.

Call your friends, go see a movie (I highly recommend “He’s Just Not That Into You”), cook, play with your real pet, etc., etc. The possibilities outside of P.S. are endless.

As for this blog, I am preparing to write a new entry soon. Check back this Monday.

Thank you for your reply. It seems as if Pet Society is working now as well as I got your encouragement/counselling. On top of that, there will be a new entry on your website soon. It is like birthday and Christmas coming at the same time.

As for reference to “long time”, you are right but it felt like forever to me! I even didn’t go for a drink with my mates so that I won’t miss today’s coins.

Now that you mentioned, I’ve just remembered that I had real pets. I will go and look after them now.
He’s Just Not That Into You seems to be very funny. it’s half past midnight in the UK so I might go and see the film tomorrow.

I love this blog! I am a pet addict! I found this blog while searching for my fave E store that sells PS items, I bought all kinds of gr8 Halloween items a few weeks ago but now the store is gone 😦

Tink Tink is sad. She wanted a few more black kats & penguins 😦

Tink Tink changes her name often. Her look not so much, unless it is a holiday then I coordinate her colors for the holiday but she ALWAYS has her fangs (Twilight inspired those)

I am 32 & should be ashamed to luv a computerized pet & game but I do!

I recently had a good good good friend die & Tinks name is changing tonight to memorialize him, Stevie will b her new name 🙂

Or Matissa (his last name was MATIS) St Patricks Day Tinks will have a cute Irish name & will B green. Easter she will B pink or light blue or light purple w/a Easter-y name like Lilly. Xmas she was Holly, New Years she was “New Years Evie” U catch the drift?

I confuse ppl by changing her name so often.

U should write about the forums & ppl charging 30 jukes for 1 toy. That would be a cool discussion, ppl begging for stuff too.

  However, I would like to say that cheating often backfires. One guy who cheated had his Pet Society account removed. He had to start all over from scratch, with an empty house.
  
  One girl wrote to me recently and confessed that she hacked into the system, but then realized that having the means to purchase all the beds and jacuzzis she could ever wish for didn’t necessarily lead to more happiness. In fact, it worsened her addiction and made her quite depressed.
  
  I encourage you to stay away from hacking and cheating and instead enjoy the game for what it is.

  I love, love, love writing this blog! Thanks for reading! Cheating is when you hack the program to get lots of coins and other goodies. Making additional FB accounts isn’t cheating, but it’s a little like sending flowers to yourself on Valentine’s Day so that your friends and co-workers will think you have a hot date that night. (By the way, I once sent flowers to myself on V-Day. I felt pretty stupid afterwards.)

I just saw another Pet Society forum pop up called
PetSocietyChatAndTrade.com

They claim to have all the same features as the PlayFish forum at http://forum.playfish.com/.

Except the the PlayFish forum won’t deal with scammers, the moderators are constrained by playfish to stay out of trade disputes, so they can’t do anything about it. But this new forum says that they don’t have that constraint as their forum isn’t run by PlayFish. So they promote safe trading and they do ban scammers.

Anyway… wasn’t sure if that kind of stuff gets talked about around here.

I am totally in love with your site!! Not only has it justified my obsesssion with PS but it also lets me see the PS world with new perspective and insight. Poo is good? Who knew?! Thanks for reading the blog! No you will not necessarily get better fish with expensive items, although some fish can only be caught with specific bait (like the cupcake fish). Click “Fishing” under “Categories” on the top right of this site and you’ll see several stories about this.

  When I post comments, I always sign it Pet Society Anonymous because not everyone reads the About page and knows that my name is Soyon or that I’m even a woman. (A couple of readers have called me “Mr. Pet Society Anonymous.”) Hahaha.

I had a few friends and while I was exploring thier houses, in the garden there was poo in all theplant holes then I wrote a note to them and they expained that the poo helps speed up the growth time (I’m not really sure if therainbow or golden poos will work).

The response level to local and national disasters is great but it’s a real shame that so many citizens take advantage of the negative situations.

I mean everytime there is an earthquake, a flood, an oil spill – there’s always a group of heartless people who rip off tax payers.

This is in response to reading that 4 of Oprah Winfreys “angels” got busted ripping off the system. Shame on them!

Oh wow, I love your blog! Whenever I’m stuck thinking, I go here and read a few topics about the problem and I find a solution. Like how to make my pet poo. Very weird…. There are very helpful tips here! And the other pet owners ( for P.S. ) that test out the new items and furniture that go out. I hope P.S. can have new and exciting features….
